Bidvest Insurance Marks International Coastal Clean-Up Day Up at Beachwood Mangroves

As part of our ongoing commitment to Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives, Bidvest Insurance employees recently participated in the International Coastal Clean-Up at the Beachwood Mangroves Nature Reserve, facilitated by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife. This event, held on 20 September 2025, brought together organisations and community members with a shared goal: to protect and restore our natural environment.

Despite the sprinkling rain, participants demonstrated remarkable dedication, collecting an impressive 1,581.17 kg of litter from the reserve. The clean-up effort uncovered everything from plastic and paper to tyres, highlighting the urgent need for continued action to preserve our coastal ecosystems.

Our involvement in this initiative is a reflection of our company’s core value: Be Kind. At Bidvest Insurance, we believe that kindness extends beyond our workplace and into the communities and environments we serve. By actively engaging in projects like the International Coastal Clean-Up, we are not only supporting global sustainability goals but also fostering a culture of responsibility and care.

As seen in the photos of our team, these moments of collective action serve as a reminder that every effort counts in building a more sustainable future. Our ESG journey continues, and we remain committed to making a positive difference—one initiative at a time.
