Tyres
Repairable Damage: Where the tyre can be repaired, Bidvest Insurance will pay* for the cost of repairs, as part of your Tyre and Rim Insurance cover.
Irreparable Damage: Where the damage cannot be repaired, Bidvest Insurance will pay* for the replacement of the tyre. Includes wheel balancing and alignment, as part of your Tyre and Rim Insurance cover.
Rims
Should the wheel with the irreparable tyre also have a damaged rim, Bidvest Insurance will pay up to R750 towards the repair or replacement, through your Tyre and Rim Insurance policy.
Annual Wheel Balancing & Alignment
After 12 months, Bidvest Insurance will pay for the balancing and alignment of your wheels, regardless of whether you have claimed or not. This is another benefit attached to your Tyre and Rim Insurance cover.
Tyre Maintenance Inspection
After 6 months, Bidvest Insurance will pay for a Tyre Maintenance Inspection to assess your tyres, as part of your Tyre and Rim Insurance policy.
What am I not covered for?
Tyre and Rim Insurance by Bidvest Insurance is designed to cover damages caused by road hazards. This means that you are NOT covered for:
- Any pre-existing damage.
- Any cosmetic damage on the tyre or rim.
- More than two irreparable tyres in one incident.
- Bubbles or bulges.
- Damages caused during a car accident or malicious damage, and not by a road hazard on the public road.
- Repairs that have not been authorised or completed at an authorised repairer.
